Privacy Policy

Who we are

Bondoro Insights LLC d/b/a Bondoro (“Bondoro,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) runs Bondoro Newsletter (bondoro.com) and Bondoro Insights (bondoro.app). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information across both (together, the “Services”). Bondoro Insights LLC is the data controller.

• Use only the Newsletter? Look for Newsletter notes.
• Use the app? Look for Insights notes.
• Many sections apply to both.

The information we collect

1) You give us (Both)

• Contact & account details like email, name, and anything you choose to share (e.g., alert preferences).
• Messages you send us (support, feedback).
• Purchases you make (subscriptions or pay-per-document). Payments are handled by our processor; we don’t store your full card number. 

2) We collect automatically

Newsletter

• Cookies/usage: Our site and some advertising partners (currently X and Google) may use cookies or similar tech to measure visits and show interest-based ads. See Advertising & Cookies (Newsletter).

Insights

• Self-hosted Plausible (no cookies, no personal data): We run Plausible Analytics on our own servers to see aggregate stats (page views, referrers, device types). No cookies, no persistent IDs, no personal data, and no tracking across devices, websites, or days. We don’t send analytics data to third parties.
• Strictly necessary tech: Things like a session token to keep you securely signed in (not for ads or tracking). 

3) Public sources (Both)

• We summarize and enrich public court records and dockets. We don’t build sensitive personal profiles.

How we use information (Both)

• Provide and improve the Services (e.g., newsletters, summaries, alerts, enriched dockets).
• Personalize features (e.g., your alert settings).
• Keep things secure and reliable (including aggregate analytics via self-hosted Plausible on Insights).
• Communicate with you about features or policy updates.
• Process transactions you authorize (including obtaining court filings on your behalf).
• Meet legal requirements and enforce our Terms.

We don’t sell your personal information.

Advertising & Cookies (Newsletter)

For the Newsletter, we may work with partners such as X and Google that use cookies or similar tech for measurement and interest-based ads. Those partners provide the required notices/consents and opt-out options.

• Your choices: Manage ad preferences on those platforms and via tools like optout.aboutads.info (and regional equivalents).
• Cookies: You can block cookies in your browser; some features may not work without them.

Insights does not use advertising cookies and uses self-hosted Plausible (no cookies; aggregate only).

Court document purchases (Insights)

One-click purchases. You don’t need your own court-system account. When you buy a filing in Insights, you authorize Bondoro to obtain or deliver the document on your behalf and to charge the price shown at checkout (generally aligned with standard court rates and including any applicable taxes/fees). See Payments, Fees & Refunds in the Terms.

When we share information (Both)

Only to run the Services, for example:

• Service providers (hosting, email, payments, infrastructure).
• Legal/safety (comply with law, protect rights and users).

We don’t share, sell, or rent your subscriber list or app account details to advertisers. Newsletter ad partners may collect data under their own policies.

Your choices & rights (Both)

• Access, correct, delete: Ask us for a copy, correction, or deletion (within legal limits).
• Unsubscribe: Every newsletter email has a link.
• App account: Change alert settings in-app; you can request account deletion.
• Ad preferences (Newsletter): Use platform settings and tools noted above.

How long we keep data (Both)

• Newsletter: Your email/preferences until ask us to delete (and as required by law).
• Insights: Your account info while your account is active (and as required by law).

Security (Both)

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

Children’s privacy (Both)

Our Services aren’t directed to children. Please don’t use them if you’re under the age stated in our Terms.

Changes to this policy (Both)

If we update this Policy, we’ll post the new version and date here.
