Terms of Service

Effective date: September 24, 2025

These Terms are between Bondoro Insights LLC d/b/a Bondoro (“Bondoro,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and you. By using Bondoro Newsletter (bondoro.com) and/or Bondoro Insights (bondoro.app) (together, the “Services”), you agree to these Terms.

1) What we do & important cautions

• What you get: Bondoro Newsletter (“Newsletter”) and Bondoro Insights (“Insights”), including comprehensive case summaries, enriched dockets, petition alerts, and related tools.
• Not legal/financial advice: We provide information only—no attorney-client or fiduciary relationship.

AI summaries (Insights):

• Summaries are generated by Bondoro-trained AI informed by our historical coverage and are designed to include validation against source filings. Although we prioritize accuracy, errors may occur. The original filings are the authoritative record; the summaries are not legal or professional advice.

2) Who can use the Services

You must be 18+ (or the age of majority where you live).

3) Accounts & access

• Insights accounts: Keep your login details safe; you’re responsible for activity on your account.
• No account sharing: Each login is for one named user. Don’t share or reassign logins. We may limit concurrent sessions and suspend shared accounts. Need more seats? Add subscriptions.
• Newsletter: By subscribing, you agree to receive emails; unsubscribe anytime via the link inside. 

4) Court filings & sources

• Public records: Content comes from public court filings and related public records; timing and accuracy can vary.
• One-click purchases (no court account needed): When you buy a filing in Insights, you authorize Bondoro to obtain or deliver the document on your behalf and to charge the price shown at checkout (generally aligned with standard court rates and including any applicable taxes/fees).

5) Payments, fees & refunds

• What you pay: Subscriptions, pay-per-document charges, taxes, and any pass-through court/provider fees.
• All sales final: Fees and purchases are non-refundable and non-cancelable to the fullest extent allowed by law (including subscriptions and fulfilled document purchases). If the law gives you certain cancellation/refund rights, those still apply.
• Billing: We use third-party processors. Charges may appear as “Bondoro Insights LLC” (or similar) on your statement. Failed or late payments may lead to suspension.

6) Acceptable Use & Enforcement

Use the Services only as permitted by these Terms and law. You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, harvest, bulk-download, or systematically extract the Services or content (manual or automated).
• Bypass or interfere with access controls, paywalls, rate limits, robots.txt, DRM/watermarks, or other protections.
• Copy, mirror, frame, publish, or redistribute any substantial (qualitative or quantitative) portion of the Services or content, or create shadow datasets/data lakes.
• Sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Services, outputs, or derived datasets without prior written consent.
• Train/fine-tune/evaluate AI/ML models on the Services, outputs, or data without express written permission.
• Reverse-engineer or attempt to derive source code or underlying datasets (where prohibited by law).
• Share credentials or exceed authorized users/sessions.
• Conduct security testing (probing, scanning, pen-tests) without prior written authorization.
• Use the Services to build/benchmark a competing product, or for any unlawful, deceptive, or misleading purpose, or to present content as legal advice.

We monitor for abuse and may suspend/terminate access, throttle usage, and block accounts, IPs, or networks. We may pursue all legal/equitable remedies, including injunctive relief, damages, and recovery of reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs. Obligations in this Section survive termination.

7) Intellectual property

We (and our licensors) own the Services and all content. Except as expressly permitted in these Terms, you receive no rights or licenses; all rights are reserved.

• Feedback welcome: If you share ideas or suggestions, you let us use them freely.

8) Alerts & availability

We work hard to keep alerts and summaries timely, but outages, delays, or third-party issues can happen. We don’t promise availability at any specific time.

9) Advertising & analytics

• Newsletter: May use partners (e.g., X, Google) with cookies for measurement/interest-based ads, under their terms.
• Insights: Uses self-hosted Plausible Analytics (no cookies, no personal data; aggregate only). No interest-based ads on Insights. 

10) Third-party links/systems

We link to outside services (including court systems). We’re not responsible for their content, availability, security, fees, or policies. 

11) Disclaimers

The Services and all content are provided as is and as available. We disclaim warranties of accuracy, non-infringement, merchantability, and fitness for a particular purpose. Public records and AI-generated summaries can contain errors or omissions, and we don’t control third-party systems. 

12) Liability cap

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential damages (like lost profits or data). Our total liability for any claim is capped at the greater of $100 or the fees you paid to us in the last three (3) months.

13) Indemnity

If someone brings a claim related to your use of the Services, your content, or your breach of these Terms or law, you’ll cover us for losses and reasonable legal fees to the extent they’re caused by you. 

14) Ending or changing the Service

You can stop using the Services anytime. We may suspend or end access if there’s a violation, risk, or maintenance need. Some sections (IP, payments, disclaimers, liability cap, indemnity, governing law) continue after termination.

15) Governing law & venue

These Terms follow the laws of New Jersey. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in New Jersey (unless a different forum is required by law).

16) Updates to these Terms

If we change these Terms, we’ll post the new version and date. Using the Services after changes means you accept them.
