Desktop Metal Operating, Inc. and its debtor affiliates⁽¹⁾, a Burlington, MA-based manufacturer of 3D‑printing systems, filed for Chapter 11 protection on Jul. 28 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.

The filing aims to implement a sale of ExOne GmbH, EnvisionTEC GmbH, ExOne KK, and AIDRO s.r.l. to an Anzu Partners affiliate and facilitate a court-supervised marketing process for the company’s remaining assets.
